I’ve been writing stories since I had the fine motor skills to hold a crayon. Storytelling is something that’s central to my career in user experience design, and my work in marketing and journalism before that.
Asking incisive questions is also a core part of my work and my personality. After all, it’s hard to have a passion for storytelling without an accompanying thirst for hearing other people’s stories.
As a designer, my entrepreneurial spirit and my empathy let me move deftly between the business needs of organizations and the diverse needs of their users. At the top of my UX toolbox you’ll find user interviews, competitive research, usability testing, ideation, and sketching. I enjoy putting these skills into practice to solve real problems that people grapple with on a daily basis.
After completing General Assembly’s full-time, intensive program in user experience design, I’m interested in applying my UX skills at a startup that’s addressing social good issues, particularly a company that’s using design as a tool to address systemic inequalities.
Contact me if you’re interested in working together or if you have questions about any of the projects I’ve worked on.
